PITTNAUER WINE
Gerhard and Brigitte Pittnauer make vibrant and affordable natural wines on the east shore of the Neusiedlersee, in the Burgenland wine region of Austria. The two make wines from indigenous Austrian grapes Saint Laurent, Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch, as well as Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Popular natural wines from Weingut Pittnauer include Perfect Day, Mash Pit, Blonde By Nature, and one of our personal favourites R&B, which is a delicious red/white blend!

Showcasing indigenous Austrian varieties
They are are most known for their red varieties, but in particular, the very Austrian variety Saint Laurent. In fact, of around 27 hectares of vineyards, more than 90% of them are red grape varieties. The Pittnauers focus on manual work in the vineyards, limiting yields, to ensure in the healthiest grapes possible. In the cellar, they refrain from using enzymes, pure yeasts and excessive use of wood in their wines.
