Vino Di Anna is a natural wine producer from Mount Etna on Sicily known for Anna Martens & Eric Narioo's use of regional grapes made in Qvevri. Popular wines include Palmento Rosso, Tartaraci & Jeudi 15. Their Palmento wine range are aged (but not made with) the old Palmento wine buildings that dot the Island, in particular Etna. These buildings are now banned to make wine in due to hygiene of foot stomping in stone vats - but the wines are aged here and the range pays homage to the quick maceration time and use of white/red field blends. Personally, we find their Nerello Mascalese one of the finest expressions of the grape we have ever encountered...
