Wondering which lovely wines to try next? These three often come to mind when we are asked for recommendations!
Marto Wines - Weiss 2018
We've always been a fan of Martin Wörner's 'Weiss' and the 2018 (a field blend like previous vintages) gives us notes of orange peel, pineapple and a touch of banana... alongside some floral hits keeping it aromatic too. Really wonderful, and excellent value for its awesome tropical-vibes. Everyone needs to try this wonderful natural wine. It's an absolute winner.
Grapes: Field Blend / Alcohol: 10%
Noita - Pet Nat
Noita are a Finnish urban winery, who source their grapes from Burgenland in Austria and create the wine in Finland - we LOVE them! Their wines are fun, fruity and fresh. This pet nat has the most awesome, juicy mouthfeel and is super gluggable with just a touch of sweetness on the finish, keeping it truly delicious and inviting you into your next sip of its fruity goodness!
Grapes: Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Blaufränkisch-Zweigelt / Alcohol: 11%
Muster - Rotwein 2010
An excellent value aged red wine from Austrian masters Sepp & Maria Muster, this wine is best drunk chilled. It is a truly beautiful and light red wine, which has the presence of what you expect to be a big wine, yet its age has mellowed its tannic structure into something more delicate, with now mildly grippy tannins. There is a touch of liquorice and herbs bouncing around with black cherries, grilled plums and an underlying, slate-like minerality.
Grapes: Blaufränkisch, Blauer Wildbacher, Zweigelt / Alcohol: 12%
