Our love for Jura knows no bounds! And cracking open this absolute smasher of a 2018 Chardonnay from Domaine Tissot was an absolute pleasure!
Les Bruyères is one of the finest Tissot plots, which is south-facing on clay and blue marl with a mixture of vine ages, some as old as 80 years old. This Biodynamic natural wine spends 24 months on the lees, in French oak and that really shows in this beautiful wine which is rounded and with a lengthy finish.
Make no mistake, this is a damn fine wine. We enjoyed bursts of popcorn, vanilla essence and a touch of pie crust all with that lovely, long finish that ends with a mineral touch.
