The producer Naranjuez calls this a rose wine, based on the fact that the reds in his area are so dark, but we're calling it a red to avoid confusion.
This is a really interesting wine, which is both complex and easy drinking at the same time - you would never guess it's 14% alcohol weight if tasting blind.
We found unusual notes, ranging from umami richness and forest floor earthyness to berry-flavoured car sweets. Really rather unique and one that everyone loved when we served it.
Great value for this pricepoint. A 'Wine of the Week' on the site.
